Journey of the Iditarod

Journey into the world of dogsledding, harsh winds, cold winters, and the "Last great race on earth" or the Iditarod. In the Iditarod there is no mercy, "A team of 12- 16 dogs and their musher cover over 1150 miles in 10- 17 days." The dog teams are trained to trust their owner and the longer they are with their musher they gain more trust that is needed to win the race.The race is from Anchorage, Alaska to Nome, Alaska with mushers and their dogs makings records in between. The Iditarod is so popular, people from all around the world come to see and compete. The Iditarod is a race with rough terrain, a team of 12-16 dogs, and raced by mushers all around the world.
